About us

Founded in 2019, Kasese Platform Advocacy Network (KAPLANET) is a dynamic, survivor and youth-led grassroots umbrella organization registered by Kasese district local government. The organisation is committed to strengthening social support systems by promoting social justice, good health, inclusive survivor and youth empowerment interventions. Our mandate focuses on building an inclusive survivor and youth movements that harnesses collective synergies to foster sustainable peace, non-violence, health equity, fairness and respect for human rights in communities experiencing and/or affected by conflicts. Through innovative, holistic and creative strategies designed by young people, for young people and with young people, KAPLANET unlocks the transformative potential of young people (including children, youth, women, survivors and people with disabilities) as catalysts for lasting positive change and generational impact.
